Mountain climbers nearing the summit of Mount Rainier in Washington. The sun had just risen and the whole mountain was bathed in the red light of early morning, called alpenglow. The climbers in the photograph are actually on their way down from the summit after climbing Liberty Ridge, a difficult and classic line on the mountain.
